Waterfront Film Festival

We are happy to announce our next stop on the festival tour, Waterfront Film Festival in Michigan.  We changed our flights so we go straight there from the Brooklyn Film Fest.  It runs June 12-15.  If you live in the area, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, come and see the film!

Brooklyn Int Film Fest

Last night was our East Coast Premiere at the Brooklyn International Film Festival and it was everything we could have imagined.  Our cast, our friends and all the other moviegoers seeing the movie for the first time is such a great feeling, one year after we were shooting on these very same streets.

I left my camera wire at home, so we'll post pictures when we get back.  Cast photo coming!

Vail DAY TWO

Day two at Vail was much more about getting the word about our movie out there and then last night we had the World Premiere.  All in all, it went quite well.  Only two people walked out of the screening and almost everybody stuck around for the Q & A afterwards.  The questions that were asked really made us feel like they enjoyed the movie and were hanging on each twist and turn.  One group even asked if Becca was a part of The Collective.  They must have really been paying attention!

We made a ton of connections today and are having a wonderful time here in Vail.  Some of our crew is going skiing today although Kelly and I are too busy.  We have interviews and press stuff all morning.  We're bummed because they open the mountain two hours early just for filmmakers.

I was also asked to be be on the filmmakers panel today at 10am.

Check out REALVAIL.COM for a little article on us.

Pics to come.

Vail DAY ONE

We just arrived in Vail.  I will upload pics as soon as I can.

We drove in from Denver through a beautiful snow fall.  Couldn't ask for more.  We went to the opening film, Diminished Capacity, directed by Terry Kinney of Steppenwolf theater fame.  A great film to start the festival.  And the venue was awesome.  The same theater our film will show tomorrow night.  When the lights dimmed, I had a moment of panic about tomorrow night.  The world premiere, the first time The Collective has ever been shown.  Should be quite a rush.

I wish you could see the view from our Condo.  Day one exceeded our expectations.

Pics to come.
